Precommissioning
AREPA supported in the precommissioning phase of technical installations. We clean installations, components and the immediate surroundings before commissioning so that commissioning takes place safely and reliably.
Clean start for safe installations
During construction and assembly of new plants, different types of contaminants can enter systems. Think of dust, metal particles, oil or assembly residues. This internal contamination is often not immediately visible, but can lead to malfunctions, reduced performance, premature component wear or even closure and fire hazards during initial start-up.
With its precommissioning services, AREPA ensures that installations are thoroughly cleaned before commissioning and final acceptance. In this way, we create a clean and controlled basis for safe and reliable commissioning of your project, installations and systems.
Our approach to precommissioning
In precommissioning, we clean and condition installations before they are first tested or started up. Our specialists remove contamination that may have unintentionally entered installations during transport, assembly or construction work.
Depending on the installation, this can include, for example, transformers, MCCs, control cabinets, variable speed drives, mechanical components or other process-critical installations. By carefully cleaning installations before commissioning, we reduce the risk of malfunctions and ensure that systems function optimally from the very first moment.
Pre-commissioning with focus on reliable start-up
A new installation must function reliably from the very first moment. However, residual contamination from the construction or assembly phase can lead to malfunctions, contamination of systems or accelerated wear of components.
With our precommissioning services, we ensure that installations are clean and ready before the commissioning phase starts. By pre-cleaning and preconditioning installations, we reduce the risk of technical problems during initial start-up and support safe and efficient commissioning of the installation.
Why choose AREPA in precommissioning?
- A clean installation before initial start-up so that commissioning can take place without unexpected challenges or failures due to contamination.
- Preventing damage and premature wear and tear by removing dust, metal particles and residues from plant and components.
- Supporting complex engineering projects where timing, safety and reliability are essential.
- Specialist knowledge of electrical and mechanical installations down to component level.
Frequently asked questions
When is precommissioning necessary?
Precommissioning is carried out after a plant has been built or assembled, but before commissioning and testing begin. It ensures that systems are clean and ready before they are first commissioned and the (end) customer is delivered a clean and safe installation
What pollution occurs during plant construction?
During transport, assembly and construction operations, dust, metal particles, moisture, assembly residues and other potentially hygroscopic contaminants can enter systems. If these contaminants are not removed, they can cause failures or wear during initial start-up.
What is the difference between precommissioning and preconditioning?
Precommissioning is carried out on new installations before initial start-up and delivery. Here, we clean systems so that commissioning can proceed safely and reliably. Preconditioning is applied to existing installations, often during maintenance shutdowns, where we support our clients' technical specialists by cleaning installations beforehand, making them safe and sound and supporting them in, for example, fitting and removing components.
Which installations is precommissioning suitable for?
Precommissioning is applied to a variety of technical installations, such as distributors, control cabinets, variable speed drives, process plants and mechanical systems in, for example, industry, energy, shipbuilding and offshore projects.
